Heavyweight –

Chris Byrd Beat Paul Marinaccio – TKO 7th Round

Prediction - Byrd win before 7th Round

Marinaccio proved the perfect fight for the trip back for Byrd, a confidence builder and also got a few rounds under his belt. Byrd scored his first stoppage since 2002 and moves back into position to challenge for one of the major belts.

Middleweight –

Howard Eastman beat Evans Ashira – Points 116-113, 116-113, and 116-112 for the Vacant Commonwealth (British Empire) Middleweight Title

Prediction – Eastman Points win

Although caught late with a big shot which wobbled Eastman, the brave middleweight came through a tough battle to win on points. Ashira was always strong but mainly out boxed, Eastman regained the Commonwealth Title for the first time since 2001, He now desperately wants another shot at the title, after two wins in two to fulfil a lifelong ambition to hold the World Title. It needs to come soon as Eastman isn’t getting any younger.

Bantamweight –

Abner Mares beat Angel Antonio Priolo – TKO 6th Round

Prediction - Mares win stoppage before the 10th Round

Mares now goes to 12-0 with a great win over Priolo who now goes to 30-6 having now lost 5 on the spin, may now be looking for an exit door. Good win for Mares bigger and better things await.

Light Heavyweight –

Otis Griffin beat Mike Nevitt – KO in the 6th Round

Prediction - Points win for Griffin

Nevitt probably entered the ring as the favourite for this one undefeated in 14, however as prediction Griffin who be here to steal the scene and he did so in spectacular fashion knocking out Nevitt in 6 rounds. Watch out for Griffin in the future he will be coming on strong and is only going to get better.
